Support for Reading
We are always available to offer support with how to read with your child at home. If your child is in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 it is important that you follow the advice laid out in the Little Wandle Phonics program concerning how often and how to support reading in those age groups.
If you are reading with your child at home in any year group and need support with how to explore the story and the texts that your child is reading, please see the support document below for guidance. Also included below is the Suffolk Reading Pledge from the Literacy Trust that we wholly support.
We also love to receive and share books and are proud to be a Book Donation Station for the Children's Book Project. If you or anyone you know have new or pre-loved books you would like to pass on, please donate them to us via our school office - there is a box in the foyer. Any books we cannot use in school, e.g. books for pre-school age or adults, we will donate and share with our community. If you would like to receive a book pack to enjoy reading at home, please contact Mrs Thompson via the school office.
